Who is Play Therapy for?

Play Therapy is developmentally appropriate for young children. I work with children between the ages of 4 and 13. Play Therapy can help all children, specifically children who are experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety or worries

  • Sadness, low mood or withdrawal

  • Anger or frustration

  • Stress from school or home

  • Difficulty expressing feelings

  • Defiance or aggression

  • Bullying or difficulties making friends

  • Coping with life changes (e.g., divorce, moving, new sibling)

  • Low self-esteem or confidence

  • Grief or loss

  • Attention and focus difficulties

  • Difficulties with emotional regulation and self-control

  • Struggles with conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
