About the Therapist

Hi! I'm Alex, a Certified Play Practitioner working to support children's emotional well-being through play-based interventions. I bring many years of experience working in learning support, where I developed a strong understanding of how emotional, developmental and relational needs impact a child’s ability to thrive. Through this work, I became increasingly drawn to the emotional lives of children. This led me to train in Play Therapy.

I approach each child with deep respect for their individuality, pace, and unique way of making meaning of their experiences. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that feels calm, predictable and emotionally containing. I support children who may be experiencing a range of social, emotional or behavioural challenges.

I provide non-clinical, play-based emotional support for children. My work focuses on wellbeing, resilience, and healthy social–emotional development. I do not offer psychological treatment, diagnosis, or clinical assessment, but can assist with a referral to a relevant professional when necessary.
