Welcome!
What Does A Session Look Like?
Each individual session is 40 minutes long and takes place weekly at the same time, creating a sense of predictability and emotional safety. Parents do not attend the session, allowing the child to have their own confidential therapeutic space. Sessions continue for as long as the child needs, based on their emotional process rather than a fixed number of weeks.
In the playroom, children have access to a wide range of therapeutic materials, including sand tray and miniatures, toys, games, art materials, musical instruments, sensory play, books, puppets and dolls, and dramatic play materials. Children are free to choose how they use these tools as part of the child-led process, while the therapist supports and reflects their emotional world in a gentle, attuned way. Through this carefully held space, children are able to explore, process and grow in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.
